# Welcome
> Buying a vehicle online, start to finish. Here is how it works.
You can buy a vehicle online now, all of it, including the paperwork. Ekho is the company that handles the purchase behind the scenes for the dealer or brand you are buying from.
We have processed tens of thousands of vehicle orders across all 50 states. The goal is simple: make this feel less like doing your taxes and more like buying anything else online.
## What you will do
Choose your colour and trim, and add any parts, accessories, or gear you want.
Financing, bank transfer, card, or other options your dealer offers.
A photo of your ID and a selfie. This protects you as much as anyone.
Add coverage if you want it, or show us the policy you already have.
Confirm your details and sign. We deal with your state.
Delivered to you, or collected from the dealer.
## How long it takes
Checkout itself can take as little as ten minutes. What happens afterwards depends mostly on how you are paying.

## The paperwork part
This is the bit people expect to be painful. You will not visit the DMV. Ekho works out which forms your state, county, and vehicle type require, prepares them, and files them. You confirm your details and sign.
If your state needs a wet signature or a notary, we arrange that too.
## Where to keep track
Once your order is placed, you get your own portal showing exactly what is done, what is outstanding, and where your vehicle is.
