You can buy a vehicle online now, all of it, including the paperwork. Ekho is the company that handles the purchase behind the scenes for the dealer or brand you are buying from. Ekho has processed tens of thousands of vehicle orders across all 50 states. The goal is simple: make this feel less like doing your taxes and more like buying anything else online.

Pick your vehicle and set it up

Choose your colour and trim, and add any parts, accessories, or gear you want.

Choose how to pay

Financing, bank transfer, card, or other options your dealer offers.

Verify who you are, in your portal

After checkout, your buyer portal asks for a photo of your ID. A matching selfie is asked when the order is Ekho financing at the moment that check starts. Express checkout sets that when you choose Financing. The older checkout sets it when you choose Finance with Ekho. Card, Bank, Apple Pay, Finance with Klarna, and Pay with Crypto ask for the ID photo only. Accepting a financing offer later asks for the selfie too, unless the order is already paid in full. Checkout itself does not collect the ID.

Sort insurance and protection

Add coverage if you want it, or show us the policy you already have.

Handle the DMV paperwork

Confirm your details and sign. Ekho deals with your state.

Delivered to you, or collected from the dealer.

How long it takes

Checkout itself can take as little as ten minutes. What happens afterwards depends mostly on how you are paying.

The paperwork part

This is the bit people expect to be painful. You will not visit the DMV. Ekho works out which forms your state, county, and vehicle type require, prepares them, and files them. You confirm your details and sign. If your state needs a wet signature or a notary, we arrange that too.

Where to keep track

Once your order is placed, you get your own portal showing exactly what is done, what is outstanding, and where your vehicle is.
