You are buying from a dealer or a brand. Ekho is the company that powers the purchase itself: the checkout, the financing, the payment, and all of the DMV work. Think of it the way an online shop uses a payment company at checkout. You are still buying from the shop; someone else makes the transaction work.

Why that is worth knowing

It explains who to ask about what.

What Ekho actually handles

  • Payment, securely, in whatever form your dealer supports
  • Financing, one application sent to multiple lenders
  • Taxes, calculated correctly for your exact address
  • Titling and registration, in all 50 states
  • Signatures, including notarization where your state requires it
  • Insurance verification, and coverage you can buy in the flow
  • Delivery, through a nationwide carrier network

Why buying a vehicle online was hard

Vehicle rules vary by state, and often by county within a state. Which forms you need, what tax you owe, and how you must sign all change depending on where you live and what you are buying. Many DMVs still prefer fax to anything modern. Sorting that out is most of what Ekho is. It is why you can buy from a dealer three states away and still end up correctly registered at home.

Is it safe?

Yes, and the identity checks are part of why. Verifying your ID protects you from someone buying a vehicle in your name. Payments are processed securely, and Ekho holds the licensure required to do this in the states it operates in.
